Claire
Wright is a self taught artist, she originally
discovered an artistic ability in painting birds and wildlife, moving on to
landscapes and abstracts. Just abstract showcases Claire's abstract work. “Abstract
paintings give me the chance to experiment and enjoy using pure colour without
the constraints of line and form. I can express my feelings and emotions.”
Claire's paintings are full of adventurous styles
and techniques, employing colour theory and varied
use of texture, tones and differing brushstrokes. Paint is often dripped,
swirled and mixed on the canvas to make each painting a truly unique, original
piece.
Selling
her works online in various online galleries, her own website and through the
Self representing Artist section of eBay Claire had
sold 1000+ paintings when she had to take a break in 2005 to have a baby. Her
paintings have been sent across the globe, to destinations all across the UK,
USA, Europe and Canada as well as other world wide destinations such as
Venezuela, Falkland Islands, Ireland, Iceland, Australia.
Claire shows work in many online galleries and sells a steady
stream of commissions from her website justabstract.co.uk. She works from her
studio in Wellington, Somerset, UK.
